FEILDING STOCK SALE.

EASIER TONE PREVAILS. At the Fcilding stock sale yesterday the prevailing uncertainty regarding shipping and tho meat industry generally was reflected in tho tone of tho market for store and fat sheep. In both sections prices fell and the inquiry was weak. In normal times the market would have been steady if not 'bright yesterday on account of tho beneficial rain of this week. Boner cows sold at low values compared with recent quotations, but the few odd pens of dairy cattle made good prices. The fat cattle market was unchanged, while a few pens .of station store cattle changed hands." Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report having hold a very successful cattle lair in the Woodville yards on Monday. The yarding comprised 850 head of stationbred cattle from the Pahiatua, CoonooT, Vongaroa. and Akitio districts, which came forward in excellent condition and despito the dry conditions prevailing on the West Coast a very satisfactory sale was tho result. Of tho total number of cattle yarded we sold under the hammer 649 head. Tho following are a few of our principal realisations:—Account R. E.
