RANGITIKEI.
MARTON. Jan. 21. At a meeting of the management committee of the Rangitikei Cricket Association on Monday, Mr 11. F. Arkwright presided. Disappointment was expressed at the apparent lack of interest being taken by delegates in the control of cricket in the district, this being in evidence especially by the small attendances at the management committee meetings.' Tho secretary reported he had made moots for a South Rangitikei team to meet North Rangitikei at Taihape. Tho chairman said the touring Nomads loam desired a game with Rangitikei at Marlon and with tho Porewa Club at Marton, in March. Mr Arkwright said the visiting team would contain at least four ex-New Zealand cricketers. An endeavour is to be made to fulfil these engagements. The following are the points gained by teams in the association’s championship competition: —Air Force 21, Old Boys 20, Porewa 17, Marton 10.
