Mrs J. Holland, of Shannon, is visiting Rotorua. Mrs E. D. Wycherley, of Palmerston North, has gone to Auckland, to visit her daughter, Mrs J. Staveley. Tlie Matamata Borough Council has appointed Miss V. Jamieson, actingcierk for the Mount Eden Borough Council, as the town clerk at Matamata during Mr W. D. Hay’s absence with the fighting services.
