At the weekly meeting of the auxiliary of the Church of Christ, Mrs G. It. Stirling presiding, Mr Grinstcad, lion, secretary of the New Zealand Alliance, spoke on the petition that was being signed for sending to the Government, asking that regulations ho passed in the interests of the people generally during the war and for six months after. Tlio clauses of the petition were outlined by the speaker. At tlie close, of Mr Grinstcad’s address the auxiliary unanimously passed a resolution to canvass the Campbell Street block for signatures, Mrs E. 11. Carter being appointed convener.
