FRENCH PLANES READY.
American-built fighter aeroplanes, battle-scarred and bullet-riddled, which werd flown from France by their French pilots when the Retain Government capitulated, will soon be in action again. Recently', at an airfield .“somewhere in England” General de Gaulle inspected these aeroplanes, now repaired, rearmed, and tuned np for immediate battle. They belong to the No. 1 Fighter Training Squadron of General de Gaulle’s Army. In this particular case the pilots are actually being retrained. Lined up in front of their machines General de Gaulle inspected fighter pilots, many of whom wore the ribbons of the Croix de Guerre and other medals, won over the Western Front in recent months.
