“FREE” FRENCH SUPPORT,

Commenting on tlie announcement from the London headquarters of the “Free” France Movement that national committees are being set up in foreign countries, Senator McEwen (Minister of External Affairs) said Australia’s French committee in Perth had the overwhelming support of French people in Australia.
The committee’s objectives were to keep before the French the supreme importance of France’s liberation and provide funds for the purchase of armaments.
Senator McEwen said the Australian French leaders bad offered to raise volunteers to fight for the Allied cause.*
