BLOCKADE UPHELD.
BY PROMINENT AMERICANS. LONDON, Oct. 6. Fifteen prominent- Americans have issued a statement upholding the British blockade of-Europe. Their reluctant but considered judgment is that tho United States should not try to feed the conquered peoples of Europe this winter unless the British Government gives its free consent without pressure. The signatories include the presidents of Harvard and Princeton Universities, the president of the American Federation of Labour and' several clergymen.
