The Palmerston North Garrison Band has given generously of its time since the war began by playing on appropriate occasions and last week was no exception. The departure of the troops from the railway station led to it playing three times in the week —on Wednesday morning and night and on Thursday afternoon—under the conductorship of Mr H. T. Guthrie, rendering much-appreciated music.
