WANGANUI CHAMPIONSHIP. The Wanganui golf championship was continued »on Friday in fine weather. Results in the championship arc:— First round.—D. C. Collins beat A. C. Ashford, 5 and 5; D. A. Harkness (Palmerston North) beat C. S. Bristol. 4 and 3; V. B. Haworth beat F. W. Ward, 1 up; F. C. Hutchison beat G. Saunders, 5 and 3; E. G. Tallis beat M .Casey, 4 and 2; H. G. Carver boat B. How, 4 and 3; K. Giendinning (Manawatu) beat N. H. Amen (Manawatu), 5 and 4; T. Casey beat F. H. Bdll, 2 up. . Second round.— beat Harkness, 2 and 1; Hutchison beat Haworth 3 and 2; Tallis beat Carver, 1 up; X. Casey beat Giendinning, 3 and 2. In the first round of the Belmont Handicap, D. J. Tottman (Palmerston North) went down to F. G. Beaien, 4 and 2; and in the first round of the Sea view Handicap Iv. B. Lockett beat A. E. Hansel (Manawatu)..
