Ltd., report . the following prices for this week' according to onality and grade- Hothouse tomatoes, Is 9d to 2s _3d: tree tomatoes, 7s 6d to 9s 9d; grapefruit (New Zealand). 6s 6d to 12s; rhubarb, 4s to 13s dozen bunches; new potatoes (Pukekoho), 5Jd per lb: asparagus, 6d to lOd bunch: lettuces, 2s 3d to 10s 6d case; soring onions. Is: new season’s carrots, 4s: radishos. Is 6d to 2s 3d dozen bunches: beetroot. 4s to 6s; spinach. 6s 6d to 9s 6d ease: leeks. 6d to Is 6d dozen bunches: parsnips, 2s 6d to 3s; sugar bag; swedes, 5s to 8s; cauliflowers, 11s 9d to 13s super bag; soring cabbage, 4« to 5s 6d case; onions, 12s to 15s cental bag; potatoes, 4s to 5s cwt. There is a strong demand for good quality lettuces, rhubarb, new potatoes. Milk Fever. The heavy toll of dairy herds in South Taranaki due to milk fever is by no means confined to the North Island. Otago herds havo been seriously affected by an epidemic which is causing concern because of the high mortality rate.
