INDIAN SITUATION.
DIR GANDHI’S CODIDIENT. WARDHA, Oct. 4. Dir Gandhi, in a statement, said the Viceroy at' his interview was all courtesv but unbending. He believed in the correctness of his judgment and again showed no faith in Nationalist India. “The British are showing extraordinary bravery on the battlefield, but lack the courage to take risks in the moral sphere,” he said. “I often wonder whether the latter has any place in British politics. British statesmen failed to do the right thing in India when it whs easy.”
