MILITARY FORCES
Army promotions and transfers, which are announced, include several of interest to Palmerston North and Feilding, among them being the following:—
Manawatu Mounted Rifles.—Lieutenants A. B. Abel, A, AY. Hudson and S. I. A. Clifford are granted t'he temporary rank of captain. AVeilington-AYost Coast Regiment. — Captain (temp.) S. E. Gilshnan, M.M., is granted the rank of major (temp,). Lieutenant J. Coley is granted the temporary rank of captain, and SecondLieutenant F. P. Fawcett is granted the temporary rank of lieutenant. New Zealand Dental Corps. —A. GMelles, M.C., from the Reserve of Officers, the Hawke’s Bay Regiment, to be lieutenant, Central Military Dis triot, Dental Officer, Mobilisation Camp, Trentham.
