SIMULTANEOUS SUPPLIES
(Eec. 11 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Oct, 3. Colonel Knox (Secretary for the Navy) has announced. that the United States is undertaking, with British acquiescence, the mass production of aeroplanes and other essential war materials by the standardisation of specifications for productions simultaneously for the United States and Britain.
The Secretary for War (Mr H. L. Stimson) has announced that the first American parachute battalion of 500 men is being formed at Fort Benning.
