An Air Force training plane crashed in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales on Tuesday during a thick mist. Pilot-Officer Lionel Webber, aged 23, baled out and was unhurt. He was lost in the mist and became detached from two other planes. He searched in vain for a place to land his machine, which went into a spin, caught fire and was destroyed.
