Under the auspices of the Physical Welfare and Recreation Branch, Air Roy Howe gave some ‘very valuable instruction in the district, nearly four hundred school children benefiting from his coaching, besides a large number of senior players. The statement of accounts discloses a satisfactory financial position, a balance of £37 16s 9d being carried forward to the next season. The management committee places on record its appreciation of the services rendered to the association. With many players enlisted in the fighting services and with restrictions on the consumption of petrol the activities for the coming season will be very much curtailed, but the pursuance of the game is necessary at this critical hour in the promotion of physical welfare.
