WOMEN’S SERVICE LEAGUE.
At a meeting, last evening, it was deckled to form a Women’s Service League with the object of training women for emergency service under the Women’s War Service Auxiliary. Airs C. Fre.vberg was elected leader. Airs J. C. Young deputy-leader, and Airs Sidney Trotter secretary-treasurer. A provisional committee was set up, consisting of Alisses E. Redwood. K. Landers, K. Garner, N. Stuart, Alesdames C. Anderson, D. Anderson and AI. A. Eliott, until a general meeting is held shortly. A transport unit will be established in conjunction with the Red Cross Society, several members who have already gained certificates in running repairs'forming a nucleus. Land and canteen units will also be formed and a special feature will be physical culture, as the founders of the league consider that no woman can be efficient for war service unless she is physically fit. The number of members will be limited for the sake of efficient working. ‘
