The Secretary for the Colonies (Lord Lloyd) has expressed through the Governor of Ceylon to the Sultan and Cabinet of the Maidive Islands (in the Indian Ocean) the warmest apprecia'tion of the British Government for their generous support of the Empire’s cause.
