GAMING CHARGES.
LARGE NUMBER FINED

HAiAIILTON. Sept. 5.
As a sequel to a police raid on premises in Hamilton, 32 men faced charges under the Gaming Act at t'he Hamilton Police Court today. The police who watched the premises told of two-up and dice games operated at a club and of a raid on the niglu of Friday last when they had to smash down doors to gain admission. James Arthur Frost, occupier of the premises, and John Sherard Rawson, who was charged with assisting in conducting t'he gaming bouse, pleaded guilty and were fined £25 each, while 27 men of varying occupations who were found on the premises were each fined £2 and costs.
