PARTY FOR NEW ZEALAND. LONDON, Aug. 22. A party of 170 British children, en route to Australia and New Zealand in a. Nexv Zealand vessel, xvere entertained by Americans working in the Panama Canal Zone yesterday xvhen the vessel arrived there. The House of Representatives has completed the Congressional action and sent to the White House the Bill authorising United States vessels to enter the xvar zone to evacuate children, states a Washington message. A batch of 138 children, the first xvho have been brought from Britain by the United States Committee for the Care of European Children, have arrived in New York. The children are mostly from working-class homes.
