ILLEGAL PETROL SALES.
FINES IMPOSED. Per Press Association. ASHBURTON, Aug. 23. Frank John Edward Smallbone, a petrol station owner, wa6 fined on three charges of disposing of petrol other than in accordance with the regulations. It was stated that he sold 118 gallons on coupons that were not in force and 235 gallons in other contravention of the regulations. He was fined £25, £lO, and £2, with 30s costs.
