T- Armstrong was stated to have announced in Christchurch that the Government will grant the 5 per cent. Arbitration Court wage increase to public servants, Hon. W. Nash (Minister of Finance) replied that he had no comment to make. It is understood the Public Service Association is endeavouring to arrange a discussion on this subject with Mr Nash, and that the executive of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants is anxious to meet tho Prime Minister this week for the same purpose.
