The sixtieth annual report of the comI mitteo of the Manawatu Racing Club is las follows: —The tolalisator turnover for the year amounted to £199,882 10s, a decrease of £11,482. which occurred at our Christmas meeting, when we had only two holidays compared with three the j previous year. The amount given in slakes was £13,025 (exclusive of trophies), a dc- ' crease of £lll. After allowing £1413 12s j 3d for depreciation the income and expenditure account shows a profit of £303 18s 9d. The widening of the railway bridge 1 and the extension of the road from Foxton Lino to the course was completed in time for the Christmas meeting, 'and greatly facilitates the admission and exit of southern traffic. With deep regret the committee records the death during the year of two members of the committee, Mr T. F. Rolling and Mr G. E. Trevor, also of Mr L. A. Abraham, who was for over forty years a member of the committee, and desires to place on record its appreciation of the valuable services rendered by those gentlemen. Mr S. A. Goldingham was elected to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Mr Rolling. The committee also records with deep regret the death of the following members: Messrs C. Fraser, F. A. Orr and A. L. Saveli. All buildings, training tracks and facilities have been kept in good order and repair. The report is signed by the president (Mr L. 11. Collinson).
