The monthly meeting of the Miison Women’s Institute was held on Wednesday. This being the birthday meeting, representatives from various institutes and guilds Avere present. Circle reports Avere given by Mcsdames Rabone (drama), Brookfield (gardening), Bigham (glee club), Rcnwick (sewing), Mrs Pcnketh (hospital visiting). Mrs Penketh is the hospital visitor for August. Competitions resulted: Decorative basket, Mrs Bril! and Mrj. Anderson, equal, 1. Mrs Dymock 2, Mrs’ Outturn 3; vegetables, Mrs Casey 1, Mrs Johnson 2, Mrs Clark 3; bloom, single, Mrs Albrecht 1, Mrs Whyte 2, Miss Terry 3: cluster. Mrs Dymock 1. Mrs James 2, Mrs Prentice 3. The afternoon was spent in a social manner, items being given by the glee club, Miss Scott, Mrs M. Dymock, and Mrs McAriey. The September hostesses are Mcsdames Fraser, Farland, Gore, Graham, Gully, Garner, Hammond, Ilubbard, Humbling, Holland, Honour, Hall. Jennens, James, and Misses Garner and Hanlin. At the euchre gathering held by the Miison Labour Party the winners were Mrs Brown, Mrs W. Bennetto, junr., and Mr Barclay.
