(From Our Ovrn Correspondent.) WAITUNA, Aug. 8. At the monthly meeting of the Waituna West Women’s Institute, Mrs E. Pearce presided. A box course from Massey College on loose covers, humpties and cushions caused much interest, lhe competition for a knitted singlet (the entries to be handed in for refugee children) -was won bv Mrs A. E. Shannon 1, Mrs E. Pearce 2; flower. Airs T. D. Stokes 1, Mrs Johnson 2, Airs Pearce 3. The hos, tess was Mrs John. Next month the competition will be for a patchwork cot quilt for refugees. , ' ‘ , Mrs A. H. Williams, of Tokomaru, who has been the guest of her mother, Mrs W. D. Johnson, Waituna West, has returned home.
