PRICE OF POTATOES.
REQUEST FOR MINIMUM. Per Press Association. ■ CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 9. Few price changes have occurred this week in the grain and produce markets, which generally remain dull and inactive. The Minister of Marketing (Hon. \\. Nash) has not yet replied to representations from growers and merchants for a minimum price for potatoes and a statement is anxiously awaited. The price to growers remains at the low level ot a ton. , Onions have snown some improvement on a better demand. Quotations to growers have moved up to £B. _ Chaff appears slightly weaker on a nominal quotation of £5" 10s. .
