(From Our Own Correspondent.) COLYTON, Aug. 8. Mrs W. Scoit has returned: home .from a holiday spent with relatives in. Master-; ton. Mr and Mrs A. E. Nicholson,, of the school house, had recently as their guest, Mr Nicholson’s brother, Gunner Nicholson, of the Third Echelon, Mrs C. Elliott is visiting in the Wairarapa. Alr and Mrs \V. Hockcn have been the guests of Mr and Mrs It. Burgess, of Patca. Members of the school Bible class, under the- supervision of Miss La Couta, took advantage of a gloriously sunny day for a picnic ramble in the bush along the pretty banks of the Mangaone Stream, where the novelty of cooking an outdoor meal was enjoyed. In the afternoon the party: adjourned to “Fuirfickis,” the homo of Mr and Mrs T. A. Smith, where Mrs Smith was hostess at afternoon tea. provided for the children, following which Mrs Smith’s guest, Mr Whitehead, who for many years has been associated with Hiblc class aetiviHes. was introduced to the childrcn. Mr Whitehead addressed the children.
