JUDGE'S COMMENT. Ter Press Association. WELLINGTON, Aug. 6. Mr Justice Smith to-day sentenced Victor Christian aged 20, a Pitcairn Islander, to tM’O years in the Borstal for theft from a house. He had given the case careful attention, said the Judge, and lie did not M-a.nt prisoner to think there was anything vindictive in the sentence The Probation Officer felt that the interests of accused, who had been found to be weak and easily led. -would be best served by a period of disciplinary training.
