AMATEUR CYCLING.

The Palmerston North amateur cyclists hold a race over the AwalniriKopane circuit, a distance of 20 miles, on Saturday.' Nine riders faced the starter. The first riders through Awalniri were Graliame and AVamer. Then came G. Little, who punctured while taking the corner. Hansen was next, followed hv I. Little. Then came Campbell and McCardle, followed by Hazelwood and A. Allen. The order was the same coming into Rangitikei Line except that McCardle had retired with a puncture. Little caught Hansen on the run homo and Hazelwood, who had left Allen, caught Campbell two miles from home. In a good finish Graliame narrowly heat Warner. Next came Hansen and Little, folowed by Hazelwood and Campbell. Hazelwood gained fastest time honours with Little, who rode most of the distance on his own, second fastest. H. Graliame, who is a first-season rider, rode well. This was his second ride since tho spill he had while training. R. Warner, who was having his first ride, showed good form and with a little more experience both these lads will be good riders. They finished three minutes ahead of the third man.
