The Queen spent her birthday at Windsor Castle with the King and Princesses and attended a service at the Royal Chapel. She was cheered en route by holiday makers. The family picknicked at Frogmore in the afternoon. The bells were not rung at St. George’s Chapel for. the Royal birthday for the first time for centuries. The Queen received many messages of congratulation from all parts of "the Empire.
