KING GUSTAV’S HOPE. • STOCKHOLM, Aug. 2. King Gustav, in a speech at the opening of the extraordinary session of the Riksdag, said: “I am firmly determined to maintain friendly relations with all sides. I will not relax my efforts to keep the country from war while preserving liberty and indepedence.”
