SCRAP METAL SALVAGE.

FORMER ANZAC’S PLAN. LONDON, July 15. A former Anzac, Mr C. A. Marques, who is now a local commandant in the Local Defence Volunteer Service, has evolved a plan for the salvage of scrap metal by which he hopes to raise £IOOO for the Red Cross Agriculture Fund. “I have founded the £IOOO Club,’’’ he told the agricultural correspondent of the Daily Telegraph. “Members must give half a toil of scrap metal, must help to load and sort scrap, and must give information resultincr in the salvage of five tons of scrap. We have already collected 60 tons and located 60 tons more.” Soon there may he £IOOO clubs all over the country.
