TRAINER’S DEATH.
SYDNEY, Aug. 2. The dentil lias occurred of the well-
known horse-trainer, Mr ‘William Booth, after a long illness. He was G 9 years of ago. The best horse Mr Booth trained was David, who won the 1923 Sydney Ou]) with '9.7, and also many other good races, for Mr Otway Falkiner. He also trained the 1924 Sydney Cup winner Scarlet for Mr J. Walter Irving.
