Aircraftsman It. Alacdonald, late of Hobsonville, Auckland, and now on transfer to R.N.Z.A.F., Ilarewood, Christchurch, is visiting his parents, Air and Mrs J. E. Macdonald, Alangamutu. Alills and .Airs Watson, Airs Gardner and Airs Bisset. At the annual meeting of the St. Peter’s Flower Show Association, Rev. K. F. Button presided. It was decided to hold the annual show and the following arc to bo asked to act as judges of the various classes in the schedule; Air J. Tantrum (Palmerston North), Airs Hartridge and Miss Kirkpatrick (Woodville), Airs A. East and Atessrs J. D. C. Crewe and H. M. B. Alarshall (Pahiatua). The schedule was revised and brought up to date by the inclusion of several new classes. Airs L. T. Herbert donated a special points prize for decorative work for girls under 16. The election of officers resulted : —President, Air Button ; secre-tary-treasurer, Air A. W. Hamilton; auditor. Air L. A. Truscott; committee, Alesdames Hamilton, AlcDonald, Button, Scott and Boyd, Alisses Suisted, Donald, and Ruskell and Messrs G. Haines. J. A. AlcDonald, Grantham, Scott Sturton, A. W. White, 11, T. Simmons and A. J. Goer.

At a special meeting of the management committee of the Bush Rugby Union it was decided to postpone all third grade fixtures which were to have been held on August 3. Tho secretary reported that he had been in touch w'ith the Wairarapa Union in connection with the incident in the Bush-Wairarapa match when B. Smith was ordered off the field, and it was decided that no further action bo taken in this matter as the attendant publicity was considered to be a sufficient penalty for the offence. B. Walker, of the Woodville Rugby Club, was also before the meeting and, after hearing the referee’s report, it was decided that the case would he met by this player receiving a seveie reprimand. Tho secretary reported that a match between the Army team from Trerithain and the Bush representatives could bo arranged and that he had written suggesting August 24 as the date for the fixture. The proceeds from this match, less the Army team’s expenses, will be donated to tho National Patriotic Fund. In the event of this match eventuating it was decided to play a third grade representative curtain-raiser and, for this purpose, Air F. Webb, of llukanui, was appointed selector for tho third grade team.
