PATRIOTIC SHOP FUNDS.
The secretary of the Women’s Patriotic Committee (Mrs J. Pegden) stated to-day that the expenditure of the patriotic shop up to July 27, amounting to £443 4s 9d, was made ■up of £4OO handed over to the Wellington Provincial Patriotic Fund and | £43 4s 9d in expenses, the latter indicating that the cost of running the shop over the whole period amounted j to less than the average takings for one week.
