“Gdd the Preserver of Alan” was the .subject of the lesson-sermon m all Churches of Christ, Scientist, on Sunday. The golden, text was Psa. 18, “The Lord is my rock, and iny fortress, and my deliverer; ray God, my strength, in Whom I will trust; ray buckler, and tile horn of my salvation, and my high tower.” Among the citations which ' comprised the lessonsermon were the following from the Bible: “He that dwelletli in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under' the shadow of the Almighty. J will say of the Lord, He is mv refuge and my fortress, my God, in Him will T. trust.” (Psa. 91: 1,2.) Also the following passages from the-Christian Science textbook, “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures,” by Mary Baker Eddy: “To those .leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big- with blessings. The Father in secret is unseen to the physical senses, but lie knows all things and rewards according to motives, not according to speech. There'is divine authority for believing in the superiority of spiritual power over material resistance.” (Pref. 1, 15, 134.) ;
