NAZIS’ DOOM AHEAD
COLLAPSE PREDICTED. ENGLAND WILL SURVIVE. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) LONDON, June 14. Mr Harold Nicolson (Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Information), in a speech, said: “Defeatism to-day is criminal. The Germans have captured and may destroy Paris, but the French Army is unbroken. The moment must come when the German armoured divisions break down and men drop from fatigue. “The moment may come as the French entrench soilth of Paris. It won’t be on the dry land of Europe that the war will be won. It will be on the seas, in the air, in distant continents as soon as the unlimited resources of the British Empire and the Americas can be mobilised.
“The war will end as a war of character. The German people don’t possess that strength of character. Momentarily, ‘they are flushed with victory and confident of their infallibility and their leader, but when the great Hitler myth is exploded their hearts will quail at the inevitable doom. “Hitler prophesied he would occupy Paris by June 15 and bring England to her knees by August 15. He has fulfilled the first. The second will not be fulfilled!”
