STRICTER CONTROL.
ALIENS ENTERING U.S.A. WASHINGTON, June 14. The Attorney-General (Mr R. Jackson) has announced a new policy of stricter control of the entry of aliens. The United States would no longer admit all persons up to the quota limits to whom no objecton was raised. Henceforth it must “affirmatively appear that admission will be in American interests.” He urged the immigration, labour and naturalisation services, which to-day were transferred to the Department .of Justice, to do their utmost to prevent aliens becoming willing recruits of the Fifth Column. ®
