(To the Editor.) Sir,—France lies bleeding on the battlefields of her beloved country. M. Blum said to the workers of England, “We don’t want resolutions but soldiers, and more soldiers.” France’s last message to England was “Do the impossible.” , _ Our country is filled with single young men. Is our Government deaf to the cries of the dead, dying, suffering ? Will they be like the Pharisees of old and pass bv on the other side ? Must all the married ones enlist before the single men are conscripted P —P am, EQUAL SACRIFICE FOR ALU. Palmerston North, 17/6/40.
