LONGBURN.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) LONGBURN, June 14. Mrs Young invited several friends to her home to farewell Mrs W. D. Campbell, who is leaving Longhorn to reside in Palmerston North. The time was spent in knitting and chatting. After a dainty afternoon tea had been served by Mcsdames Young and Croll, Mrs T. Rowland was called upon to make a presentation to Mrs Campbell of a fireside companion, on behalf of those present. Mrs Campbell, who ropliud, was also presented with a posie. Mrs Young was thanked for her hospitality. The following were present: Mesdamos /Young Campbell. .’Taylor, Croll, Carter, Picrard, Bonnier, Sansom, Rowland, Corke. Flanagan, Ilills, Martin, Aldcrsley and Foss.
