AMATEUR CYCLING.
On Saturday tno Palmerston North amateur cyclists held a race to Feilding ancl back through Awahuri and Ivopane. There were ten starters. McCardle suffered a puncture after passing through Feilding. Coming through ICopane G. Little and Hansen were caught by Campbell and Essex. Then came I. Little, Hazelwood, Fisher arid Donovan, who at this stage was moving along at a fast pace. Ai the turn into Rangitikci Line Campbell was leading from. Hansen and G. Little. Then came Essex, further back being Fisher, Hazelwood, Donovan and I. Little. In a fast finish Ilansen was leading Campbell by half a length when he swerved across the road accidentally, this cauling him to bo disqualified and be filacod second. A. Allen also had a puncture after passing through Kopane. Next to finish were G. Little, Essex, Fisher, Hazelwood, Donovan and I. Little.
