SPECIAL FRCE.
PALMERSTON NORTH ENLISTMENTS. 1385 DISTRICT' REGISTRATIONS. Since the commencement of ties in September of last year there* have been 1385 enlistments for active service at the Palmerston North Defence Office. Since last Monday there have been 50 enlistments. The daily figures for this week are: Monday, 12; Tuesday, 10; Wednesday, 9; Thursday. 10; Friday, 3; Saturday, 6. Since the list of men to proceed to Trentham camp was published yesterday, Messrs R. R. Dilks and A. A. Coles have been notified to proceed also. The following men were examined at the last meeting of the medical board in this centre: Messrs A. Whyte, N. Pilcher, A. Scott, J.
