BOARD OF GOVERNORS MEET. At a meeting of the Massey Agricultural College Board of Governors Mr A. Morton presided. Other members present were Messrs T. U. Wells, Grey Campbell, P. Kearins, 11. A. Candy, A. E. Mansford, M. H. Oram, L. H. Collinson, O. Monrad and the principal (Professor G. S. Peren). •The following were awarded the Diploma of Dairy Manufactures on the result's of special examinations conducted in May: Messrs A. B. Gale (Opunake), E. B. Gimblelt (Woodville), and T- IT. Hawkins (Cambridge). A letter was received from the secretary of the New Zealand Dairy Factories and Related Trades Employees’ Industrial Union of AYorkers regarding the provision of bursaries to enable factory workers to take tlie course in dairy'manufactures. It was"decided to refer the letter to the Department of Agriculture with n recommendation that bursaries should he made available. The chairman reported that an inquiry had been received from the Government as to whether the college conkl assist in training men from public works as farm workers. It was stated that the college could train men for both low and high country sheep farms, dairy farms, and as shearers. Several schemes nut forward are now being considered. 1 • At the' annual college graduation ceremonv tlie degrees and diplomas will he conferred bv the Chancellor of the University. Dr. J. A. Hanan. M.L.C-, and the graduation speech .will be given by Sir Francis 1* razer. man of the Executive of Agriculture and chairman of the. New. Zealand School of Agriculture.
