NEW ZEALAND SCHEME. Per Press Association. / AVELLINGTON, June 13. It is now considered desirable and necessary for every man before being drafted to an Air Force ground training school to undergo preliminary educational training in mathematics and science, said the Minister of Defence in announcing to-day an extension of the educational scheme. In place of the 20 classes at present operating more than 40 classes would operate as from the beginning of July. From now on an endeavour would be madp to get every man selected for the air crew section of the Air Force into a class shortly after he was seen by the selection committee and the medical examination was complete. A further development of the scheme was the inclusion of a conscheme was the inclusion of a considpreliminary educational training. From July 1 some 61 signalling classes would bo operating in 36 centres in the Dominion The people of Wellington were given a front seat to view one of the most spectacular sights of Air Force training when groups from AA’ccdburn Aerodrome, Blenheim, flew over the city in formation for the best part of an hour at noon. One of the first to arrive was a group of nine Vincent biplanes. Then, near at" hand, came seven Oxford Airspeed three other AGncents followed in a formation of their own. The manoeuvres continued overhead, bringing into the streets, on to the roofs, and to every window large groups of interested spectators.
