ASHHURST.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) ASHHURST, June 13. At a meeting of the Patriotic Committee Mr Murpliv presided. The secretary reported that the total amount collected and forwarded to Feilding for the Red Cross Appeal was £429 19s lid. The chairman expressed pleasure at the outcome of the canvass and extended thanks to the collectors. The appointment of Messrs W: N. Brewer and F. A. Dunstall as trustees of the Post Office account was confirmed. The arrangements for the committee’s patriotic dance to bo held on Saturday were discussed, and advice received that the Women’s Institute ■ would willingly undertake the supper arrangements. Various ,• members were appointed to undertake various duties. and patrons will be assured of good entertainment, besides having the sat-' isfaction of helping a good cause.
