FEATHERED CLASSES.
In commenting..' on the Norwich canarv classes, Mr C. F- Purton (Palmerston North), the judge, said that although the entries were small in number the standard was very fair. The winning colour-fed bird had the finest colour he had ever seen jn tins C * M S r L. A. Walker (Woodville), judge of the roller canaries, said the birds were typical of the breed, but he commented that they were shy in nature and were not seen at their best in PU Mr C G. Fleming (New Plymouth), who judged the Yorkshire canaries, said that the entries reflected credit on the fanciers under the present conditions. The outstanding birds were ot a quality to fit them for entry in any competition in the Dominion and the difference between the best bird in the show and the' best variegated bird was so slight that other judges would have possibly reversed his placings. . ,
