DOMINION POTATOES.
NEGOTIATIONS WITH AUSTRALIA Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 12. “No arrangement has been made between the New Zealand,and ’ Australian Governments for the, export of potatoes to Australia.” said the Minister of Marketing, to-day. A cable message from Launceston published to-day reported that the Federal Government had decided to import 5000 tons of potatoes from New Zealand for marketing ini July, August, and September. Asked 1 if negotiations were proceeding, Mr Nash replied in Ihe affirmative, but added that he did not know when any arrangement for the export of ’potatoes .could be expected.
