POWER BOARD’S GESTURE. Interest-free loans for war purposes include : Cooper, McDougall and Robertson (N.Z.), Auckland, duration and six months, £1000; Motor Specialties, Ltd., Auckland, duration and six months, £1000; Anonymous, Grey Valley, duration and six months, £1000; Manawatu-Oroua Electric Power Board, duration and six months, £1000; Mrs C. J. Broderick, Invercargill, duration and six months, £SOO ; Anonymous, Nelson, duration and six months, £500; Anonymous, Remuera, duration and six months, £250; N.Z. Hockey Association, duration, £200; F. J. Karam, Raurimu. duration and 12 months, £200; Huntley School (Marton) Magazine Fund, duration and 12 months, £SO. The total to date is £2,039,846. The New Zealand Hereford Cattle Breeders’ Association, meeting in Palmerston North yesterday, decided to lend £250 to the Government as an in-terest-free loan for the duration of the war and six months nftrwards.
