APPEAL FOR FUNDS. A meeting of the executive committee of the Feilding sub-centre of the New Zealand Red Cross Society was held on Monday evening. Correspondence dealing with the Red Cross Appeal for £250,000 for the Sick and Wounded Fund, which is to he launched on May 12, was dealt with. The secretary (Mrs Scott) was appointed to attend tlic conference of dele-

gates to be held in Palmerston North which will discuss the work of raising the amount required. Aiter the conference the local sub-centre will, probably meet to consider its part in the appeal.
