“Doctrine of Atonement” was the subject ol tlie Lesson-Sermon in all Churches of Christ, Scientist, on Sunday. The Golden JL’ext was Matthew 20:25: “The Son of Man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give Tlis life a ransom for many.” Among the citations which comprised the Lesson-Sermon were the following from the Bible: “l<or if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Sou, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved bv His life.” (Rom. G: 10.) Also the following passages from the Christian Science textbook, “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures,” by Mary Baker Eddy: “Even Christ cannot reconcile Truth to error, lor Truth and error are irreconcilable. Jesus aided in reconciling man to God by giving man a truer sense of Love, the divine Principle of Jesus’ teachings, and' this truer sense of Love redeems man from the law of matter, sin, and death by the laiv of Spirit—the law of divine Love.” (p. 19.)
