Dustin, of Main Street, is making progress towards recovery after a recent illness. Mrs A. G. Huntley. of Jenks Street, is an inmate of the Palmerston North Hospital. Mrs R. Craill, Aliss K. Smith and Mr I. Craill, of Tolaga Hay. are the guests of Air and Aim G. Tucker, of Rady's Milo. Members of All Satlnts’ Ohurcli rlioir spent a pleasant evening at the residence of Air and Airs R Sutton, of Robinson Street, when, at the conclusion of choir practice, they were entertained by Miss Verna Sutton. The winners of competitions, were Alesdamcis IT. A. Ilannav and C. Ttobotham and AJesers IT. A. ITannay and R. Read. Rev. G. R. Stote-Blandy presided at the annual meeting of the parishioners of All Saints’ Church. Air K. \V. Thane presented the report ami balance-sheet, which were received, the balance-sheet disclosing a satisfactory credit balance. The choir report and balance-sheet, presented by the secretary (Alim Verna Sutton), the Sunday school report and balance-sheet, presented by Airs E. Jackson (.superintendent), and the wardens’ report, presented by Air F. Woods, all disclosing a satisfactory state of affairs, were received. In the Sunday 6chool report. Airs Jackson stated that there were over 50 children at the Sunday school and there were only two teachers, and she made an appeal for assistance in this connection. The election of officers resulted : Vicar’s warden, Air W. Nyc. senr; peoples warden, Air F. Woods; vestry, Messrs R W.' Thane, W. R Rather, 11. A. Hanna,, G. Robntham, Dr S. R Crawford, Messrs R A. Field, 1,. Ledger. G. Alorgun, W.i Nyc, j unr.. and G. Tucker; secretary, Air W. Nyc, junr; treasurer, Air R W. Thane. The matter of the amount set aside for the assistant clergy fund was discussed and it was decided to revive this fund during the coming year. At the monthly meeting of the Women’s Institute thanks were accorded Mesdamcs Scabuiy and R. Easton for their joint contribution of an iced fruit cake for competition to raise funds for soldiers’ parcels. The competition for root vegetables resulted; Airs 11. Hussey 1 and 2, Airs C. McEwan 3. There was a good attendance of memhem at the closing of the 1939-1940 season of the Foxton Croquet Club Competitions resulted: Target, Mrs E. Huntley; golf, Mrs 1). R. Barron; angles, Aim E. Thane; hurry scurry, Alesdamcs K. Thane and A. V. Taylor. Mrs AI. E. Pcrrcau (president) presented the trophies which had been won during the season and congratulated the [slayers. The results of the competitions were: Senior singles. Airs G. Walls 1, Airs E. Bryant 2; C players’ singles trophy donated by Airs T. Kane). Airs C. Robinson 1, Airs A. V. Tavlor 2; most improved player (Airs G. Walls's trophy), Airs S. R Cowley. The competitions held every Wednesday during the season were won as follows; Target, Airs R. Bryant; French, Airs R. Bryant; golf, Aire A. V. Taylor. '
